About Model Cars+

Hi! We are Sam and Olly Halle-Hinxman, the creators of Model Cars+ and also race drivers. In 2019, after winning multiple championships at club level, we made the move to national karting in the UK. No matter how successful you are, the cost of motorsport, especially at these higher national levels, is extremely expensive and very hard to fund without support. Although we were fast and winning some races, it was difficult to fund our passion even with the amazing support of our sponsors. So, we came up with a plan …

With a load of help from our Dad, we gave ourselves the massive challenge of opening a business each to help fund our passion. Our business plans which we put together when Olly was just 9 years old and Sam 13, led to the birth of eCommerce websites for Model Cars+ and Karting+. Both businesses have the  aim of providing enough funding to give us the ability to make it to the top of the mountain that is the world of motorsport.

From that initial launch point in December 2021, to the end of 2022, we sold our thousandth car on our very own website, modelcars.plus

The profit made helped raise enough money to fund our 2022 season with Sam picking up multiple podiums and wins in the arena of top level karting.

Every penny spent by you, our lovely customers, through this website and on our other platforms has contributed to helping advance our careers in motorsport.

With ever-increasing costs, help is still needed to keep us on the track. That’s where you guys come in. We welcome financial sponsors and product support and you can be sure we will do our best to promote your name and business through the motorsport world. We carry your business logos on our racesuits, karts, trucks & trailers, as well as the promotion across social media and all our websites.
